I have had some of my guests ask me about the security in Mexico as well. I did some research and if you go to state.gov. There is a ton of information regarding traveling outside the US. If your resort is in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area, you should be fine. That area is 8+ hours away from where all the crime has been going on. Also, I am making sure all my guests are traveling to and from airport and resort during daytime hours. Hope this helps!

Alliecat, I'll email you some wedding info that I have today. Let me know if there's anything else you need. I think we're all a bit biased here but we all prefer the La Romana resort to the Punta Cana resort. Also, check out tripadvisor. The reviews of DLR were what swayed me!

Congratulations Bridget!! You are gorgeous and I loved your wedding pics! Can't wait to read your reviews. I ordered chair sashes online but now I love the look of the white wooden chairs. Don't know if it's really in our budget though! sad.gif

Congrats Bridget!! The wedding looked amazing! I cant wait to hear about everything. My big day is coming up very fast. We are leaving in 2 weeks! I still have a lot of questions, but I am trying to take everything as it comes, since Tiara does not seem to be in any rush to get things confirmed. I keep asking her what we can do to get things planned, and she just keeps saying we can start planning things, and Im like okay, what can we start planning!! But I am sure if will all come together when we get arrive. It is just good to hear that brides are coming back happy!!

OMG, Bridget, absolutely stunning!!! Teary eyed and goosebumpy after watching the video. I'm saving your pics to make sure the lanterns go up the same way!

 

Really can't wait for your review - need to know what to make sure Tiara does/doesn't do!! LOL

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
