I finally started to email Tiara again after not bother her for a couple of months. I was going to wait to post my question/answers once I heard back from the last email as I got confused on the info but I'll post a couple of them now, hope it helps, her answers are in red.

Could we reserve Portofinoâ€s wine cellar for dinner for 10 people? (Tiara D.) We will have to pay USD 200.00 and consume wine there. That will cost you USD 75.00 each bottle.

Not sure if you have more ppl if the price would increase but could be a good option for some.

If we do not need the Brideâ€s Bouquet and boutonniere for the groom can I get some other flower arrangement in its place? (Tiara D.) You can change it for a centerpiece.

I read that if we do a non-private reception and have 12 or less it is no charge but if you have 13-20 people you have to pay $20 plus 10% and 16% taxes. Is the extra charge only for each person over 12, so for example if i have 16 people total I would only have to pay the $20 plus 10% and 16% taxes for 4 people? Yes.-

If we do a private dinner reception could it be held at any of the following: the pier (have seen a picture of a lunch there) or wedding gazebo (another bride said she had her's there) or massage hut (have seen it done at dreams tulum)? For the private dinner reception, if you do it at the pier it could not be more than 12 people. Inside the Wedding Gazebo could not be more 9 or 10 guests.

In the same boat, the last email i sent was about a week and half ago. Earlier this month it took a week the one time and 4 days the other time for her to respond.

Would be great for others to keep posting their questions and answers so we all don't keep asking her the same questions.

FYI, if you plan on using Pastor Rick, make sure to book early, i waited too long and he is booked up for my day. I asked him if he can recommend anyone else and will let you guys know.

Mine is starting at 4:30, if you have a TA would ask them to contact Tiara as they might have better success.

My ceremony is scheduled for 4pm.

I haven't been in much contact with Tiara as I think I am pretty much done until the final details once we arrive. I have received a quote from Tiara and here are some of the prices that she gave me (all prices are in USD):

Chuppa $800 (I think they are beautiful, but I can not justify that price for a 15 min. ceremony and maybe 5 pics)

Tikki torches $7/torch

Rose petals $100 - to make an isle with (see suggested $200 worth, but I think that may be too many petals (and too much money) since a basket of petals is $15)

Bar service $3 + 26% per person

Wedding cake $30 per pound (which she suggests feeds 10 people)

Head table centrepiece $70 (starting at) - I am going to be using the same centrepiece for the ceremony and the head table at the reception

Boutonnière $20 each

Corsages $25 each

Natural Arch $175 (for the ceremony)

Caribbean Trio Band (1 hour) $350

I'm in the same boat as everyone else, I'm waiting for a response on two separate emails from about 2 weeks ago!

Does anyone know if the resort offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport? About 98% of my guests are flying in and out on the same flight and I'm hoping we can make transportation to and from easy. Also Has anyone talked to Tiara about having guests in the same part of the hotel?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
