I think it depends on what kind of dress you're going to get and if you need to get alterations done. I've heard people recommend buying a dress about 9-11 months before the wedding to give time for the dress to arrive at the shop & then do all the fittings/alterations. I haven't bought my dress either!

Yes I did get a dress from ROB and I like it but I'm an options person so I am still weighing my options, LOL! I am going to look at dresses today as a matter of fact. I am also waiting for a Maggie Sottero (Melanie) to come in to this shop in Laurel to try on. When I try that on if I like it that's the one and I will just have to sell my other dress.

Prettyhazardous - Thanks for the info. I don't plan on doing mine till Feb or March next year. I will keep them in mind along with Tait photography.

Capeach31 - I also think it depends because some dresses take about 4 months just to arrive and then you may need alterations. According to the timeline charts they say by October you should order your dress, I'm getting married in May too. I think for now you should start looking and trying on dresses then find out how long the dresses you like would take to come in so you have an idea of what time frame your working with as far as ordering. If Dec. will give you enough time you can just take your mom back to show her the dresses you liked the most.

We still have to plan a an outing for us to all meet.

HAPPY PLANNING TO YOU ALL!!!

I think I'm giving up on a BD shoot. I really can't afford to do it this month.. And with Tait I'd have to do it in Aug. With Tya I can do it whenever but the issue is I really can't spend $500 on this project I'm sure it would be worth it but I really don't have that much $$ budgeted for his gift... I did finally get time to look thru all her photos and while I really didn't see many BD pic (I did see a collection of ab 10 pics of a girl in jut an apron and a girl in a jersey, than some of her pictures of the models resembled bd pics but really weren't) with my friends recommendations and from the versatilityty I saw in per portfolio I am very confident with her ability. I think I'll email and tell her I'm interested but really can't afford it.... I'll let you all know how it goes lol... If not no BD pics for me... However I guess I could do it for our 1st anniversary, but I've been promising him this great gift and i guess I'm back to the drawing board....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
