BTW...I have a challenge for tomorrow. I need to be doing this every day. This challenge is not so much about doing something, but NOT doing something. I challenge us all to avoid bread, pasta, potatoes, etc...anything super "carby" for the entire day.

You're killing me lol.

Ok-so bad carbs -out-

Good thing I finished off the variety box of cookies tonight, that would have sucked to have around all day tomorrow with the no carb challenge.

Not all carbs are bad though....this is from the fitness site my trainer got me into. Keep this in mind when you're cutting out carbs.

"Fat burns in a carbohydrate flame," or maximal fat utilization for energy cannot occur without sufficient carbohydrate to continue Kreb's Cycle activity (energy/fat-burning cycle).

In summary, try not to dip below 40% of your total calories being made up of carbohydrates, and remember that eating fewer calories leads to fat/weight loss. If you feel better with less then the recommended amounts of carbohydrate in your diet (40-60% of primarily "good carbs" such as grains, fruits and vegetables), and it is not affecting your overall energy levels including exercise intensity or duration, by all means do what works for you. To lose weight you simply need to eat less calories than you burn but remember it takes plenty of carbohydrates at each meal to maximize exercise induced muscle gains and your goal, as stated, is muscle gain so don't cheat yourself."

This is from apex.com btw

Good luck everybody-I'm sure we'll have some great results tomorrow!

So, I had a small loss. I really like the mini-challenges, but probably won't be able to do them for the rest of the contest. Now that my summer session of school has started I have 5-6 hours of homework a day on top of 4 1/2 hours of classroom time. I never thought it would be this much. Its really cutting into my BDW time! lol Oh well, it'll be over again soon. I'll fit in the challenges when I can. The good news is that I really don't have time to eat or go shopping for food, so I'll lose weight that way!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
