Tired of Hearing this! ARG!

Mine is on a Wednesday (same week as your's actually, only this year) and i had people tell me "well we would have come if it wasn't on a wednesday!" which is BS anyway- they were jsut looking for an excuse to get out of coming.

don't worry about it- i stressed so much over this whole thing and it is just not worth it- you're never going to make everyone happy.

This is too funny! I read this post yesterday and I thought to myself...nobody has asked me that. Not even 5 minutes after I got asked...haha what the hell..why does it matter? Mine is on a wednesday...It's not like people have to work the next day ...the whole week is a weekend!

How rude to make a negative comment about the date someone chose for their wedding. If you were having it at home in the evening would it be a problem, they would either come or not come. Please don't change your date to accomodate anyone else.

Our wedding date is on a Wednesday also, but we rarely get those questions. Since our DW is in Europe, you kinda have to go for at least a week anyways to make it worth while so most people thought it made sense to have it on a weekday. The only time anyone asks us is if they don't realize that we are having a DW.

I have had those same complaints because my wedding is on a Tuesday morning at 10am (before it gets too hot). I chose to have it during the week because of costs, we are going to have it in Las Vegas and it is cheaper during the weekdays - THINKING ABOUT MY GUESTS AND THEIR COSTS! That's what I get for trying to be considerate of the costs the will have to pay. But everyone has really gotten over it at this point, they will probably come Monday and leave Wednesday which will give them 2 more days to work that week if they choose too!

I too was thinking of the costs. Especially in May...a big tourist month....everything is cheaper during the week. I was seriously thinking about changing the date....I'm glad you girls talked me out of it. People can get over it and come or not come...I don't care at this point...I just want the people that want to be there to be there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
