Hi Ladies!
So I'm back from a very productive trip, I finalized the wedding location!!!! This had become a bit of an issue, because I kept picking places that would not work. But, it's all good now :-)

2. Chose MOH, Bridesmaids, Best Man, and Groomsmen

3. Have the best travel agent EVER- My mom! And yes, she's a real travel agent here in Memphis. I lucked out!

4. Reserved Ceremony Location

5. Reserved Reception Location

6. Reserved Welcome Party/Rehearsal Party Location

7. Booked air travel for wedding party & photographers

12. Purchased my dress

13. Ordered Bridesmaid dresses

14. Made and mailed out Boarding Pass STD.. let me know if anyone wants pics

15. Made wedding website: OurWedding Website

I think that is it so far. I'm traveling back to St. Thomas over the July 4th holiday to meet with my wedding planner face to face again to discuss food, flowers, centerpieces, music, vows, cake, etc..

I'm currently looking for:

-shoes for my dress

-shoes for the bridesmaid dresses

-cheap tote bags

-program fans that don't look like pieces of cardboard with popsicle sticks or 5 pieces of paper that open up to a fan shape.

-cheap beach towels

-starting to look for invititations

I'm so glad that there is a December brides page! Hopefully we can keep each other on track!

Thanks guys,

Julie

Congratulations!!! Bet you are excited!!!

DIY invitations can take up quite a bit of time depending on how picky you are, so start early. A few beer always helps too! friday.gif

I don't mean to bring anyone down but is anyone running into multiple people complaining about everything? They all claim that it is too close to Christmas....but my theory is that they would complain no matter where i had it and no matter when I had it. The ironic part is that I picked December because it is after Hurricane Season and before the peak season when the hotel costs would double. Anyone else going through this? If so, please tell me how to deal with it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
