We live in a small town (900 ppl) and the nearest city is 2 hours away...He's driving me MENTAL!! Still no outfits for him and the groomsmen and he just wants to wear semi casual clothes....UGH sorry about the rant... I also just found out I have to go dress shopping again, I found one that I looooved on Ebay that was supposed to be custom made. Boy did I get hosed, it was cheap but the thing never did show up sad.gif Thank goodness most everything else is taken care of!!

What are you girls' FI's wearing? Nick wants to just wear white capris with a white button up shirt which I'm fine with but have nooo idea where to fine mens white capris. Any ideas?

Also, what's your plans for favors and getting them there? My Uncle started a charity for providing teddy bears for children in hospitals and ambulances so does anyone think putting a note at each seat that we've donated x amount of money to his charity would be an alright thing to do?

Thanks for your input, and sorry for the rant!!!
Hi Summer - I feel you on the boys clothes thing. Why are they so difficult? The only guy I know with white capris got them in Greece. Maybe try online? This site shows the guy with his linen pants rolled up and it looks kinda cute: http://www.islandimporter.com/home.php?cat=1

I have MAJOR tan lines from getting sunburned on the lake. It almost looks like I have a white bikini on when naked. I was thinking about going over to the pool at a friend's house and do a topless tan at the end of September. Is this not a good idea?

Yep, don't wait! you gotta work on those tanlines now!

(in my opinion!) My cousin got married in May and I was her MOH and some of her bridesmaids had tan lines and it looked bad I have to say.

And especially if you are the bride - you def gotta watch out for them. It's a pain and my friends prob think I'm crazy, but I'm OCD about my tanlines - today I just laid out ALLLLLLLL day - but I had a bandeau top on.

My fiance is going to dress up for the big day. I picked out the suit/shirt/tie at Nordstrom beforehand and we went back to try everything on. He could not believe how "painless" it was for him. On top of that, the suit was 50% off and the shirt was on sale too. msnwink.gif

You can do the leg work first and that will sure make it easier for Nick.

As to wedding favors, I am still trying to figure out what to do. If I can come up with a DIY project, it will help with the budget. humble.gif

I'm a late December bride! I got engaged in June and was gone for most part of June and July, so here's my "checked" list:

1. Date and place set - Dec. 12, 2009 at Sands resort in Turks and Caicos

2. STD sent out

3. Hotel booked

4. Photographer booked - Ileana Ravasio

5. Make-up artist booked

6. Invitations are done, will send them out next week. It's a small wedding - I'm anticipating 20 people.

7. Musicians booked

8. Reception dress and shoes are bought. Still looking for a wedding dress and FI's pants/shirt

9. Welcome bbq and reception site/caterers (Kissing fish) - booked. Still not sure about menu though...

10. In process of selecting a cake...

After I already found and booked everything, I finally decided I needed a wedding coordinator - just to be there and keep everything under control, so I don't have to do that. I have a phone-meeting this Monday with one of them, hopefully she's not gonna charge me an arm and leg for it...

Still needs to be done

1. Favors and OOT bags

2. wedding dress

3. FI wedding band and outfit

4. .... I know I'm forgetting something... OMG - I need to book tickets! I'm so silly... I gotta get there somehow so we can get married!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
