Thanks for the compliment :)

They are Guess and I was at Nordys this weekend and they still had them on the display. I don't mind going back to see if they have your size... I always need an excuse to go to the mall at lunch wink.gif PM me if you want me to go look.

Are those the Guess ones? I heart those! I've been looking everywhere for them, and cannot find my size, arghhh. It is so hard to find cute orange shoes out of season!

I hope your surgery went ok. I would focus on eating healthy. Something like the P90x meal plan or Weight Watchers that is balanced and will help you maintain and maybe even lose some weight.

Thanks for the compliment :)

Post pics of the invites so we can all oooo and ahhh over them! Good luck finding linen pants. Online shopping has been a lifesaver on cost and great finds for the guys apparel.

It is getting so close, my invites came today (finally!) and can't wait to send them out and get my very first RSVP!

We do have to start looking for my FI's pants for the ceremony (he is not stressed about this one bit), I am hoping there are some linen pants out there on sale. 3 more months!

The Herald-Zeitung
Autumn! That is awesome! so cute!

When I saw the number "2" in my wedding day countdown, I was a little shocked! but excited! I guess I need to start figuring out some of the serious details, like going to get our marriage license now etc - we have an appointment at the courthouse for the Monday before Thanksgiving (6 days before we leave for PV), and I'm not sure if we are still doing that, or paying to have our officiant in PV ordained (our friend) and having him do it right before we hop on the plane. I just know I'm not going to be able to hide my glow at thanksgiving if we do it before. We should have just left for PV before the holiday!

My WC is Spanish and honeslty has never been in Jamaica during this season before. Do any of you Jamaica brides know what time you are going to hold your ceremony? She suggested 5PM but I am nervous that the sun sets early in DEC and we may not get many pics in the daylight. On the flipside the pool activities are still going on until 5PM so if we do it eariler there will be lots of people at the pool (right in front of where we are getting married). What do you girls think?
Hi Sparkles ... I was told by the resort WC that sunset in Jamaica is around 5:30 in December.

Autojo ... your announcement is so cute! Don't feel like a hick ... enjoy your day in the spotlight!

I found my shoes at Off Broadway Shoes. They are a bit untraditional though. But, they have this great line of shoes called Michael by Michael Shannon that does knockoffs of all the great designer shoes, i.e. Manolo, Jimmy Choo, etc. Mine are actually Valentino knockoffs. They are worth checking out if you have an OBS near by. Unfortunately you cannot order online with OBS.

81 days until we leave and 83 days until we are married ... wow

I hit a huge wall yesterday. It was awful. Here is the link to my post on the MDC thread about what happened. Word of advice - STAY ON TOP OF THE WC AT YOUR RESORT! He/She should be in touch with you atleast bi-weekly at this point if not weekly. It has been an awful 48 hours.

Hi, Ladies. I'm getting married in December at the Hilton Los Cabos. My wedding will probably be a little different than most of yours because I am a much older bride. In fact, my 30 year old daughter will be my MOH and my FH's son will be his best man. It's going to be a very small wedding with only 11 of us. I would, very much, appreciate your ideas on a couple of concerns that I have.

Our photogragher says that the ceremony should be 4:30 -5:00, in order to have the sunset in our pictures. Then, we're going to have the cake cutting ceremony - just for pictures during the sunset and the WC said that would last about 10 minutes. Then, there will be pictures with everyone. (We're just having the photogragher for one hour and he'll start with the ceremony - I guess). The WC suggested that we have drinks/champagne for about 30 minutes on one of the terraces, before having our dinner at 6:00pm - and after dinner, we'll actually eat the cake.

Does 6:00 for dinner seem too early to y'all? I just don't know what else to do with this group? Keep in mind, that we all are in our mid-50's, except for my mother and the 4 kids in their 30's. The WC has us down for dinner from 6pm - 9pm. Not sure it's going to take that long but what should we do afterwards? The only thing I know to do is hang out at the Lobby Bar, which would be fine. What do y'all think?

Welcome to the forum Patti! I looked up the sunset time in Cabo on that date and it is 5:19 so I think your timeline is perfect. I would make sure that you stay on top of your WC to maintain the timeline for the ceremony and cake cutting because a lot of people run on "Mexico" time and won't feel the urgency you need to get pics before the sun sets. Also 6-9 for dinner and then hanging out at the lobby bar sounds great. Maybe check with the WC to see if they have music in the bar on that date. Happy planning :)

Thanks, Karla and Autjo. I feel much better. I wish now, I could just decide on flowers (i.e. bouquet, boutonniere and arch). What colors are y'all using? I'm wearing a long, ivory dress and my fiance is wearing a black tux. I was considering red, thinking it might be pretty being so close to Christmas, however, I've always liked the ivory/white wedding bouquets too.

I'm impressed your FI is wearing a tux! IMO I like when the flowers have color just to give a little "pop" to the white and black. I considered red for your same reason but ended up going with orange. Although... we are having a Crazy Christmas Sweater Happy Hour for our guests one night before the wedding :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
