Thanks! Glad you like them.

I would definitely have to admit that I learned from this experience that, imo, making them yourself is not worth the time and effort. If I had to do it again, I would buy the invitations - no doubt!

All the same, I do love them.

We're getting married on the 10th at Grand Riviera Princess. On the beach :) We still haven't decided if we'll do the beach reception or just go to one of the a la carte restaurants...

Anyone else planning their wedding at this resort? I didn't notice anyone when reading through...

I feel like I'm so behind compared to most of you!

1. My dress is ordered...Should be here in a couple of weeks!

2. Invitations were sent out last week - sent early because we didn't do save the dates

3. AHR venue is booked for July 17 2010 -Still need to book caterer though

4. TA is taking care of all our bookings

5. We had our legal ceremony on May 8. We did it early because I still have to apply for my passport and we figured we might as well do it now so that I don't have to reapply/pay again right after. We're also expecting a baby girl on June 15 and it was hard for his parents that we weren't married..So now they're happy we're married before baby is born!!!

6. We have our guest book. We ordered from the guest book store. Welcome to the Guestbook Store! Wedding Guestbooks! we'll place these on the reception tables with colourful markers.

Still seems like I have so much to do! I know what I want for flowers, and plan on doing them myself. We're waiting to hear about what the resort offers for decorations/center pieces. Although, it won't be anything too fancy. And I plan on starting to look for a dress for our daughter soon after she's born..Would love to start now, but I spend most days with my feet up!!

Happy Planning Everyone!!! :)

She has been really great and gets back super fast to both phone calls and emails! If anything she is MORE on top and into the planning of the wedding travel than I am! She calls me more than I call her..I love it! She is great at keeping me updated on who has booked and what peoples travel dates are etc... by sending me excel sheets with all of the info a few times a week. I reccomend her--her info is:
Hazel Boone
410-624-2168
e-mail: hazelboone@somedayvacations.com

I met her at a Someday Vacations booth at a bridal show and she was just the sweetest lady, I knew she would be great to work with (and she has been). Just tell her I told you to call her and that you are also planning a wedding, she specializes in group travel. Good Luck!!!

yeah, and Dec 09 thread! Glad I found this! We are getting married Dec 4th at Dreams PV.

I have completed the following:

1) booked our flights/hotel for wedding & honeymoon in Belize

2) sent out save the dates

3) bought dress

4) finished wedding website

5) started collecting things for OOT

6) decided on color pallete

But I am concerned that I see tons of brides who have 25 ppl booked or more by now, and I only have about 6-8 ppl booked. I sent out STD to about 160 ppl.

I'm a little worried, but is there anything I can really do? I can't make people pay their deposits.

Any recommendations Dec Brides!?

I dont think there is much you can do. People book when they want to book and feel comfortable booking. The only reason we had alot of people book right away is b/c we had a two week window in which people had to put down a deposit to hold the rate we got.

You are getting married on my parents anniversary :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
