Custom Linen Suits $99!

Recommended Posts

I'm glad I found this thread also! I've been looking for affordable suits for the guys. I am interested in receiving the swatches too... let me know how this process goes.

For the ladies who have seen the swatches/purchased a suit, I am looking for a suit that is close to Ivory. I believe Foxy mentioned her hubby wore Natural Linen to go with her dress. My dress is ivory too but I was wondering if there was another color that could go as well.

Also, are you guys going to make all your GM's and FI match? Are you just getting a suit for FI and pants for the GMs? I'm just curious to see if it really matters. My colors are Lilac/Turquiose Blue/Ivory if you have any advice for me.

All of them are wearing the Beige Linen suits from StuioSuits.com with ivory shirts, except the GM will have claret ties and claret pocket squares and my husband will have an ivory tie with ivory pocket square. My son, who will be 19mths by then, will have an ivory tie like his daddy. My husband didn't want it to be too casual, so he wanted all of them wearing jacket and pants.

My husband's suit came in today, and I can't believe the quality of the suit and it only costs $99, well $124 if you include the suit, shipping, and the satin in the pants that goes down to the knees, and it only took TWO WEEKS from when I placed the order to the front door. It fits perfectly except for it's a little fitted in the waist, but I guess that is just due to his personal preference. Other than that, we will definitely be ordering the groomsmen suits from Studiosuits.com. He said that definitely wants to order a lighter linen suit just to have.

finleys7, I know you mentioned that you were concerned with the quality of the swatch and your FI's linen suit, but the actual suit is different and probably more of what you expect in a linen suit.

I'm so excited! Now, I have to get 3 groomsmen, in 3 different states, to send me their measurements.

Yea for birthdays! I bet your year has flown by! FI's neice turns one on Dec 1 and we are going to have a mini-party for her in Mexico since we can't go to her party next weekend in Texas. Kinda sux living away from family, although I'd probably end up pulling my hair out if we lived close to the FBIL stupid.gif

OK, now focus.gif

LOL... oh my goodness you have no idea how hard I'm laughing about this right now!! FI's family, and specifically his grandparents, are from fairly small town Manitoba and they were so completely reluctant about booking their trip because there was NO WAY they could use their credit card online to book, and even giving someone their credit card over the phone just wasn't right.... so they had to find a travel agent that they were comfortable working with in person before they could get their trip booked!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
