Custom Linen Suits $99!

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

Did anyone else find that it was cheaper to order the jacket and pants separately?

I noticed that the suit costs $99 + $10 if you order anything other than white linen. But when you order them separate it comes out to 106... Not a huge difference, but I wasn't sure if anyone has done this.

You can check the status of your oder on their website. And yes, I got an email when it was shipped. You can also get an update if you send them an email. They usually are very quick in responding. Hope this helps.

Thanks, ladies!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I was finally able to get a refund!!  Though it wasn't a complete refund...  Took about a month of emails going back and forth, but they finally allowed me to return them.  Technically I only received 70% refund since they wouldn't refund my shipping (there and back) and charged me a stocking fee.  Oh well.

My advice, definitely search locally and US companies first!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, if you ever have to ship anything back, USPS (United States Postal Service) is definitely the way to go!  Took less than a week and was a quarter of the cost compared to UPS, Fedex and DHL!

Be careful with the pre-set sizes as well!  That's what we ordered and they still came in tight!  They were all measured beforehand at a tuxedo place as well.  1 even ordered a size up and still didn't fit!  Beware!

We used studiosuits and I'm super happy with our results.

We ordered 3 suits - in English beige, they took about 2-3 weeks to arrive, and we got e-mails from them confirming some of the measurements as some of the guys are really tall!

Once we got them, 2 of them needed to be let out a little in the jacket (tight around the shoulders and around the waist), but there was tons of extra fabric to do this, also we needed the pants taken in on one suit a little. In total we paid $100 for alterations for everything. Totally worth it.

Here's a picture of the guys:

I have had a pretty positive experience with studio suits. I ordered 4 suits. All of the pants and 2 of the jackets fit perfectly! The key with the pants is to order the semi-baggy fit. The other fits come very snug in the thigh (if you email them before hand to ask about fit they tell you so). The semi-baggy does not look baggy on the guys at all it looks just right. Baggy fit is really baggy based on the rep for the company. The two jackets that didn't fit was not because of the measurement but rather the cut of the jacket. The slimmer guys fit their jackets fine, the two bigger guys (one being the groom) found their jackets to be too snug. It cost about $30 per jacket for alterations. Overall the suitrs look great.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
