I don't think you should include beach mats for a couple reasons...

1. they are bulky for you to get down there (either shipping or in suitcases)

2. bulky for your guests to have to bring back so will most likely get thrown out or left behind meaning a waste of $

3. people don't really use beach mats at places that have beach chairs/pools

also i think for the price they are you can get much nicer / usable items for your OOT bags!

WELL......... I have beach mats for our OOT. last fall pier1 had beach mats for $10 and they went on sale for .99 and i bought them. Alot of girls do beach towels and these beach mats actually rolled up smaller than a beach towel. These mats are 6' x 4', they fold and then roll up w/ little handles. here are some pics so you can get an idea on the size.

I say if you want them go for them. Don't just settle for the regular beach mat. i don't know when your wedding is but keep an eye out for them. If you have a while, pier 1 always gets them and then they were .99 last november.

I actually got the pier one ones as well. We were going to sell them but then decided to use them in the end. All 25 of them are nicely packed in a suitcase and ready to head to Jamaica. I don't think they are necessary, but they are really nice, $1 each, and they take up a nice amount of room with the towel in the OOT bag ;-)

I have 9 left. I did not pack one in the end for FI or I, or my 2-year-old niece and it worked out in the end.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
