i went barefoot. it was easiest for me. i only wore flip flops to the reception. lots of girls wear wedge heels b/c it's easier to walk in sand.

I've been debating this all week! I found some cute little white flip flops at NY&Co on sale for $7.99. I just dont know if I should go with that or barefoot. The other problem with me goin barefoot is that my FI is 6'5 and I'm 5'8. I look like a midget next to him if I dont wear heals. Does anyone know of a good pair of wedge heals?

I am going barefoot too.. FI is 6'3 and I am 5'3, so the height thing will be a lot different but I have always wanted to be barefoot in the sand.

i think i'd prefer to go barefoot if i was getting married on the beach - godness, i swayed to go barefoot purely because we are going to be next to the beach!lol

I went barefoot, DH wore flip flops. Most of our guests ended up barefoot as well.

I've decided not to wear any shoes for the ceremony and got comfy flipflops for the reception. Comfort is key!

I'm not sure if the time of day affects it at all...you may wanna try it out before the wedding and see if the sand is hot?

I'm planning to go barefoot, because I'm just about as tall as my FI...but I've got white flip-flops just in case :)

I would like me and my bridesmaids to wear those soleless shoes. They are basically feet jewelery

We were married 2 weeks ago at 3:30 near Playa. The sand was not hot. It was deep and difficult to walk in, so I was happy that I chose to be barefoot. It was very difficult to walk though and my dress was taken up according to the height of my shoes that I wore for the cocktail hour and dinner.
I didn't want to hear flip flops (the sound they make) and I think they would have just gotten more tangled.
FI was barefoot as were my BMs and my dad.
