I was thinking wedge sandals with the ankle straps might be the most secure ... I wish I lived near a beach so I could try it out lol

ya I'm 5' and he is 6' so I'd like to be in the same picture as him too haha

I wore 4" wedge sandals with ankle straps. I didn't have any problems walking on the sand but I definitely felt more secure when I reached the aisle runner we put down on the sand. By the time the picture time came around, I had completely forgotten I was wearing heels on the beach.

            Hope that helps.

I wore wedges for my wedding too, and although I know I was conscious of trying not to fall over, it was more because I am a clumsy oaf than due to the shoes themselves.

They were perfect for the sand, and I am so glad I wore them.

I wore strappy wedges and I was fine, but the sand was pretty packed down and hard...I might have had more trouble if it were just loose sand...

Good question....I am also 5' tall and would really like to wear heels. I like the idea of wedges with ankle straps. If you do find some please let me know from where.
