August 5th wedding

Recommended Posts

I'm gettting married on August 5th. Small wedding. About 6 family members and our baby girl. She will be 19 months.

Still haven't decided on the place. At first we looked at the big hotels but we feel it's too expensive for what they offer. We have a small budget. 1000$ or less if possible.

Anyone heard of this place :

Las Vegas Wedding Packages - Complete Wedding Packages in Las Vegas

We were hoping for an outdoor ceremony but we're afraid that it may be too hot in August.

Valley of fire looked amazing but again it may be too hot.

Any suggestions for an August weddinghuh.gif

Thanks!

I haven't heard about the Always & Forever Wedding Chapel, but the photos around the lake are beautiful! And it seems that you get a lot for your money whereas many of the hotels on the Strip give you random things in their packages (chocolate covered strawberries are nice, but I'd rather have more photos!)

August in Las Vegas is really hot, but at least it is a dry heat as opposed to a humid heat. If you have a shorter ceremony outdoors in the late afternoon or early evening it should be a little more comfortable for your guests. You could always leave a paper fan on their chairs to cool themselves during the ceremony.

Congrats on your upcoming Vegas Wedding. I was thinking of getting married @ Lakeside as well. We are having an outdoor wedding in September. We decided to have a sunset wedding so that it will not be that hot! Good Luck with the planning. Keep checking the boards you will so much useful information here!

There's a lot of nice venues for weddings in the Vegas area. Here's a couple you might want to check out:

JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort, Spa and Golf Summerlin, Nevada

The Official Home Page of Lake Las Vegas Resort

I'm not sure what they charge, but they may have a discounted rate for August weddings, as that is the off season for weddings in the SW due to the heat.

Best wishes,

Tod

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
