I've PM'd people who said they had Rick York do their ceremony for insight into how the ceremony went, but no one has ever answered. I've been very curious as to what his ceremonies are like.....

I was wondering about decorating for the ceremony/reception. Do we need to bring decorations and/or centerpieces down with us? For example....We'd like there to be a lot of candles and small vases with flowers. Will we have enough time to arrange this when we get down there?

Also, has anyone used Rick York to preside over their ceremony? How did it go?

Thanks for any advice you may have!

If you email him [email protected] he will get back to you within hours. We are using him in November. There is a thread about him with great reviews. I have the ceremony but I don't know how to post it on here.

Michelle, I haven't heard from photo souvenier about pricing for their videography. Do you mind me asking how much you paid total (with editing) and what you had taped? Would you say it was worth the price? It didn't sound in your review like the quality was great. I'm deciding between them and Video Punta Cana who has great reviews and I've been able to see his work. Photosouvenier said they didn't have a video I could look at.

Hey Boston, the quality is great! Maybe you misunderstood my post.. I was saying I think its worth it to edit and not just keep it as is. I think this would apply to any video taping. If you keep it as is certain parts can be drawn out, have breaks in the taping effecting the flow of the music and the picture, and it wont be a "finished" product, much like if you only took pictures with the photographer and they didn't color correct them or something. See what I'm saying?

The video of the ceremony UNEDITED is included in the package I had. It was $200 more to edit, but then we got the Excellence discount of $400 which was a happy surprise, so I see it as that discount paid for my video editing and my TTD!!!

The video is great..the music is smooth now, certain parts fade in and out slowly, the color quality is good, no shaking of the camera, cute credits at the end and introduction to the resort at the beginning.

We just had the ceremony taped, which was perfect as I'm not so into people taping me all day. I'd rather have pictures because that is what I look at most.

We are planning on showing our gorgeous slideshow and ceremony video at our AHR in October. I definitely recommend doing the video with Photo Souvenir, just be sure to edit it!!!

Thanks Stacey! Me and my fiance have also decided on PC and I am SO excited! If you have any helpful information I would love to hear it. We are trying to set a date in late March/early April; so its not that far away :)

BlaklyBrideToBe,

Thanks for posting those documents, they should be helpful to some still undecided, like me, of where to go. I jsut joined and have not had enough posts to open the attatchments, would you mind sending them to me at [email protected] ? That would be awesome!

Apparently now you have to have 150 posts to opn attachments!? That would take awhile and I am eager to begin.

Thanks a ton - Andrea

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
