I do have the pricing on my laptop somewhere. I've been busy dealing with IRL stuff- graduation from med school, a move, starting residency (after the wedding/honeymoon) and trying to put the finishing touches on the wedding stuff.

Let me see if I can find it and if I can I'll email it to you.

CONGRATS!

I can't wait to read the review. I think I'm the next one in line after you and I realized this morning we have about 5-6 weeks left. Just over a month. Nerves haven't settled in yet, but I'm sure they will.

Tell me, did you just pay the extra bag surcharge to get all your centerpieces etc down there, or did you have family take them, etc?

Hubby and I can't decide if we're going to just pay the extra bag surcharge, or if we're going to try to get family to take it on their flights or what.

And I thought it'd be better to just put it here for future use. This is the menus for the restaurants and the menus for the cocktail hour/receptions. Note, this menu has changed twice just in the year I've been planning my wedding- so ALWAYS check with your coordinator/planner there at the resort before setting your heart on what you see here.

Also, because it may apply to any of you- they are more than willing to make vegetarian/non-dairy options (at least for the plated reception) if you need them for your guests or yourself. DH, MOH, MIL, and BFF are all lactose intolerant and they will have non dairy meals made for them.

For the BTB who asked me for the cost sheet, it's the document entitled 'list of exxtras (sic)'

Lastly, for the new brides, you have to reach a certain number of posts before you can view attachments, so if you click on it and get an error message, that's why.

Enjoy!

If you don't mind me asking, what has anyone paid for decorations for the beach ceremony? and What was included. I just got a quote that for yellow chair ties, yellow flowers on the aisle and a yellow drape for the beach gazebo, it would be 500.00. I thought this was outrageous. Is anyone getting other quotes from the resort?

Khalia- thanks girl! I know it does feel good to finish- I can't wait to be done. Just two more weeks till this last rotation is done. I just sent in the app for my license.

mdb- I think most all of us are bringing 90% of the decorations. There are things that they will do as part of the different packages, but chair bows etc tend to be a charge. It's cheaper just to buy those and bring it with you. Depending on your package they will let you choose your aisle runner, decorate the altar etc. Flowers on the aisle I think is a charge either way. We're forgoing them and using freeze dried petals that we bought tossed on the aisle instead. HTH!

Hi Nikki,
I should be purchasing some decorations also, but the resort hasn't given any indication of what decorations are included in what package. What all are you taking? I asked to see pictures of what the basic beach set up looks like as far as what is included in the package, but they haven't sent me anything. If anyone could give me some great ideas of what all would be beneficial for me to take, I would be greatly appreciative.

Also, congrats on finishing your last rotation!!!! WOW.. what a big accomplishment! : )

So review is up...enjoy!

Nikki- we flew American Airlines and they allow 2 bags each free so 4 bags total. The rest of the stuff we divided between my mom and 2 aunts. No one paid extra so it was great.

MDB- We got the silver package so the ceremony was pretty much set up for me. I did bring fushia bows for the chairs which I left with the WC if you want to use pink (there should be fifty of them. There were tiki torches, the aisle runner was a sand color which I liked because you didnt even know it was there and they lined the runner with large starfish/shells. The four posts were decorated with white drapes and flowers and there was a table with flowers and the sand ceremony. There are pics in my review but here is one.

Hey bulldog, you look so beautiful! Looks like everything turned out awesome and I can't wait!

On another note, it looks like the chairs are pretty low back and the sashes are pinned to the backs of the chair, as opposed to tied around them like many other resorts. Is this accurate? If so, did they provide pins for you?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
