I would recommend asking them via e-mail and having them confirm that so you can bring a copy with you in case they give you a hard time. Just by reading the threads for the 4 resorts I'm considering, it seems sometimes they charge, sometimes they don't for a lot of the "extras". So best to avoid headache by having proof with you. wink.gif

Hey! I have kind of an odd question..did any of you go through a travel agent (TA) while booking your wedding? I have a TA that we deal with for all of our vacations but he is not giving us a better deal than the resort itself..Ana sent me an email with a group deal and it was better than my TA. What did you guys all do to get the best deal?

I booked myself through a place online. cheap caribbean. I'm not sure what kind of deal you are looking at but these prices are great. If you want to send me your email address I can give you more info.

Can anyone tell me the rates they were quoted by either working with the resort directly or through their travel agent? We are planning a Jan 2011 wedding and want to know if the prices we've been quoted are fair/reasonable. Also, are you getting package deals with flights, or no?

Last year we vacationed for 7 days/8 nights in December for $1250 per person with flight from CheapCaribbean.com--they don't seem to have group rates though and I was quoted much a much higher rate ($165 pppn) by the resort.

We are planning for a group of 25-40 ppl.

I would appreciate any feedback, thanks !!

OMG! We are back from the best 2 weeks of my life! Brides to be...you have nothing to worry about, everything was beyond my expectations and both Ana and Isyuney made my day absolutely a dream. I couldn't have asked for anything more and they went above and beyond to make it perfect. I brought alot of things down with me...centerpieces, program fans, escort cards, favors ect and Isyuney put it all together beautifully and as I pictured it. I love putting my little touches on things but if thats not your thing, then don't push it. The wedding would have been just as beautiful without my finishing touches. I am working on my review with pictures to follow so stay posted...just know your day will be amazing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
