Majestic Colonial Confirmed Wedding Dates?

Hello all...

 

I just spoke with the Majestic today (yes, I gave in and called the DR) and the WC said they are not booking weddings yet until mid April 2009. I wanted to get married towards the end of May and really want to start booking stuff. Does anyone have a confirmed date in May from the Majestic and if so who did you book it with?

Hey there! I know I'm not getting married at the Majestic, but I'm assuming the situation is probably similar for all of DR. At Dreams they told me that the judge can only confirm dates about a year out, so this is why you have to wait so long to get a confirmation for a LEGAL ceremony. Such a pain for those of us who can't wait to start planning!!

 

In order to save money and avoid the hassle of all of the translation and documentation issues (and a little bit because I just wanted my date confirmed!) we decided to do a symbolic ceremony and I was able to get a confirmation of my date right away since a judge wasn't needed. I'm thinking it's probably the same way at Majestic, but I may be wrong so hopefully there are other brides out there who can help on the resort specifics.

 

Hang in there! There are a BUNCH of us in the same boat... just want to get that date booked and get the ball rolling! I don't think 2010 can come fast enough!

I can confirm that what ebredhawk said is correct for the Majestic resorts as well. It is due to the judge, who doesn't schedule 2010 until April 2009.

 

I too switched to a symbolic wedding so I could book sooner and get the date I was interested in. Also, then nothing has to be translated, any my guests can hear our vows in english.

Congrats! I am also in the Bronx, NY area... I am planning to get married there in feb 2010.....Im going to visit elegance this may so i will do a lot of research and take as many pics as i can....i'll keep you updated ....that goes for all the majestic elegance brides!!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
