My name is Shelly!

Andy and I are getting married in April of 2010

And we're looking for somewhere gorgeous in Playa Del Carmen!

Like most of you I'm absolutely overwhelmed with options and need your help to narrow it down!

Can you PLEASE give me your top 3 wedding resort choices?

And do you recommend staying at the same resort as your wedding?

HELP!!! :)

Hi Shelly! Congratulations and welcome!!

I have to say that choosing the location is the most excrutiating part! It is however a very personal choice in my opinion as not everyone is looking for the same thing in a resort. For example, you may be looking for something reasonably priced for guests or you want certain features, etc. What I did was wrote down the most important things that I wanted. From there I was able to eliminate a lot of places. I would recommend doing the same thing. There is so much info on here that it should help with your decision. Good luck!

Hi Shelly!

Definitely list out what you and your fiance want out of your wedding. Do you need a resort with a beautiful beach? do you want to get married ON the beach or in a gazebo? do you want a church wedding? Do you want a private outdoor reception? Will kids be allowed? what is your price range for your guests?

Once you start to answer all of these questions then you'll find it MUCH easier to narrow down your resorts. But the key is finding out what you and your fiance want out of YOUR wedding. Not what someone else wants.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
