Hi ladies,

I'm considering villas in this area. Any recommendations? Is anyone familiar with this area? I'm told the best area to get married is Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerias would be as good or a close second. Has anyone been there? What is the vibe like?

Thanks

If you are looking to get married in a villa, there aren't that many in Nuevo Vallarta. There are more in the Conchas Chinas / Mismaloya areas (South Vallarta), there are some in Bucerias (just north of NV) and there are some in Punta Mita (about 25 minutes or so north of Nuevo Vallarta). I have been looking into every villa possible to get married at and still haven't decided...if you need help with having someone to look into villas, send me an email and I can refer you. I also know puerto vallarta like the back of my hand as my fiance is originally from there. In terms of weddings, if you were to get married at a resort, I would go with Dreams Puerto Vallarta. If you are looking into a villa, I can recommend a few, depending on how many guests you want, if you will be staying at the villa or want event only... I am getting married in January 2010 and have been spending a lot of time researching villas.. hopefully I can make up my mind soon!

Hey there! I recently stayed in the Punta del Burro area for a two week vacation, and Bucerias is close. We did our shopping and such in Bucerias, and spent a lot of time in Punta Mita. Punta Mita is a cute little town with a surf town vibe. It is right outside of the Four Seasons resort. Punta del Burro is probably 15 minutes outside of Bucerias but before Punta Mita, and they have really nice villas there, and it is a gated community. We are having our wedding, 08-21-10, in Punta del Burro. In between Punta del Burro and Punta Mita, you will be able to find lots of places to rent. You should try VRBO.com, vacation rentals by owner, we always rent villas off of there, and you get good pictures generally and prices up front. Good luck! Hope this helped you out some!

Hi, I am getting married in Bucerias at a restaurant called Karen's Place. It's on the beach and the owner Karen is a wedding planner as well. My family, love, love, loves Bucerias. I have never been but my family has travelled everywhere and they've told me this is the nicest area of PV. I'm not too sure of what villas are available but I as i'm getting married in this area I think it's great!

I would recommend Karen's Place (where we are getting married) www.karensplacebucerias.com. It's on the beach and although i've never ate there my family has and really loved it.

I stayed in Nuevo Vallarta last time I was there. I liked the area, but my girlfriends and I went up to Bucerias a few times and loved it. We had so much fun. THere was a little wine bar I suggest you find, too. It's cute. We also went to Sayulita which had a beautiful beach with cute little villas.

Hi! I am getting married in Bucerias in May and noticed that Karen's Place was mentioned in this post. I am debating between doing my reception at her restaurant or at the villa that my fiance and I rented - Villa Hacienda Camino al Mar (across the street from Karen's). I would love to talk to anyone who has info about Karen's and has or is planning to have a reception there. Thank you so much!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
