Losing the Weight...feels good!

So I started the beginning of the year, and I've lost 16 lbs as of today!

I told my FI, you know what feels even better!?

The fact that I have done it in a healthy way and it hasn't been agony.

I didn't have to starve myself or anything drastic. My wedding isn't until Dec so I was able to take my time and do it healthy. I work out at least 4 times a week, but usually it ends up being 5-6 times. I have become obsessed with Spin Classes! I swear my hips have shrunk dramatically and I can fit into two sizes smaller in my jeans from these classes!

I watch what I eat, but by no means, am I obsessed with it. If I want a cocktail or glass of wine, I try not to drink multiple days in a row. and I eat every few hours each day.

I also swear by Oatmeal in the morning! even if you don't like it, just suck it up and eat it! :) It makes you feel full and it's healthy!

I just think there is no secret to getting fit for your wedding. It you have motivation, you will do it!

Hope this motivates others out there, because it motivates me!

Congrats to all the brides out there!

Congrats! Great work and thanks for sharing your experience :)

The other night I came up with this idea of putting the measuring tape around me with the original measurements (before I started dropping pounds) to see how far I have come. I though it was the coolest thing to actually "see" the difference, it really made me feel so proud and gave me that motivation I needed again. It really reminded me where I was and where I was going.

Wow 16 pounds? That's great! I agree with how you're going about it... I'm doing the same thing except I'm losing motivation. I've only lost 10 pounds since the end of last year and I'm stuck. I guess I'm sort of at the toning stage and need to change up my routine. I've never tried a spin class before so I think I'll start with that!

That's great, congrats! And it sounds like you are doing it the healthy way, so that's always a plus since it tends to be more permanent.

But I was also wondering about the oatmeal. I feel like I ate nothing at all when I eat oatmeal, so do you do something special to it, or is it a special kind?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
