Recommended Posts

Hi girls

we have asked for 31st march at 4pm just waiting on that?? i asked about evening reception and they have replied to say we find out 1 month before from the wedding planner.

i suppose 2pm is not to bad if you were getting married in england your wedding would be around 1-2pm anyway its just that extra 2 hrs in your dress i am sweating thinking about it :)

Hi ladies, hope you are both well.

desser- have you received any news yet for the 31st March? don't forget that alot of the B2b's booking direct with Riu don't always follow through with their confirmation of the date/time they provisonally booked or often decide to marry at another hotel, so their date/time slot becomes free again.

Shelllk- you are so right about how quick the time is passing by, I really need to get a move on now with looking for a dress, kinda know how I want my hair.

Thanks desser,

Sorry to hear that was really hopeing that with all you have been through that you would get the 4.00pm on the 31st March. Any howl I am sure you will still have a great day and like I mentioned before you can always email the riu wed dept to ask if they will let you know if any of the b2b's who have booked the later time slots for 1st April cancel.

I know reading one of the other threads the other week that a couple of early slot brides had been contacted to see if they wanted later slots that had been cancelled on their chosen wedding days. Anyway the main thing now is that you have your date finally sorted and can start looking forward now.

desser,

i say just make the resort aware that you have had a bit of trouble (understatement) and that you would be very grateful if they could some how keep it on file that if a later time does become available for them to contact you.but i think for now you should enjoy your engagement and do some happy planning lol.

bev,

what kind of dress would you like?

thank god its friday tomorrow.me and h2b have already said after the last few weeks we have had it is pub after work for tea and lots of wine.

i have done what you said and let Thomson know that we want first refusal on a 4pm cancellation on 1st april or 31st march, and i have also e-mailed this to riu wedding dept, but like you said just got to be happy it is all confirmed and move on from this! i have written a nasty letter to the complaints dept though to see what we can get :)

Hi ladies,

Shellk - I would just like a long simple Ivory dress with a small train, but not sure if I want strapless or not? but then again may change my mind when I actually go shopping and try a few on.

desser - I am sure you will get some sort of compo, for all the mess up's you have had to put up with!!!!!!!!

how far have you got with your planshuh.gifhuh.gif

bev,

have you got big boobies?lol its not a personal question i think this is one thing you should think of with the strapless question.have you made any appointments at any boutiques?

desser,

lets wait and see if you get something.it would,nt compensate for the stress but it would be good.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
