i have been in communication with Debra as well. i'm getting a little frustrated with her becasue i asked her for pictures to get an idea of her worj. she referred me facebook and look there. i searched for her, but there are so many people under that name i'm not sure which is her page. i asked her to send me the link to make sure i get the right person and i told her that i may have to request her as a friend if she has her page setup as private and she responded back by saying - yes you do have to request me, so do so. but which is your page!! if anyone gets any sample pictures of her or knows her facebook page link...plz share!

Hey dani2142!!

 

She added me as a friend also on facebook this weekend. I too am a little unsure whether or not I will be using her. I actually got my license in makeup two years ago, so I am capable of doing a pretty good job on my makeup but what I liked about her was that she offers airbrush which I don't know how to do. Since I wear makeup on a daily basis, I really want to look pretty glam on my wedding day, and I didn't see too much of that in her sample pics. I really didn't want to have to worry about doing anything on my wedding day other than walking down the aisle, but based on what I've seen so far it looks like I may be stepping in the role of the makeup artist for the day as well

I just booked Loni Jones. Her work looks really good. I am so excited because it seems she has done a lot of professional work. She has done make up for one of the America's Top Model winners.

 

The resort was also really cooperative. They are not making me pay for a day pass for Loni.

I was thinking about booking her, but she never emailed me back with a price or any information=( So I guess i will have to find someone else. She asked me how many people it was for, and I told her I only have 3 people in my bridal party. Never heard anything after that. I guess 3 people doesn't equal enough money for her...

how did you do that? i'm getting married at the RIU Negril. how'd you convince them not to charge you for a day pass? that would really help me if i can avoid that....

I just emailed the wedding coordinator and asked if I would have to pay for a day pass, but stated in my e-mail that she would only be there for a few hours and that it would cost me a lot of money to have to pay for a day pass plus the make up. I told her I would greatly appreciate it if they would let her on the property for a few hours. I am not sure if they allowed it because I have around 35 people staying at the resort for a week.

I only have 3 people, it was originally only going to be me. She was going to charge just me $150.00 including travel expenses, but I got a group rate of $200.00 for all 3 of us.

Thats weird that she didn't email you back, she has been responding to me emails instantly. I also lucked out because I just got her name and I am getting married on April 7, 2009 and she was available.

Ok, I finally got a response from her after contacting her on facebook. Misunderstanding...she said she did respond, but I'm not sure why i didn't get it. Anyway, she quoted me the same price for 3 people. So I will probably go with her. my wedding isn't until next June though, so she told me to wait a little closer to the time of the wedding.
