Staying together the night before wedding?

Recommended Posts

I like Dilara's idea, but it is VERY personal. Who cares what everyone else says about the ordeal. I would imagine that the anticipation would indeed be heightened if you were apart, but what fun conversations would you and your FI have the night before! Either way, I'll be fine :)

I prefer to stay together, but my MOH and the best man say we should split up. We live together and sleep together every night, so I would prefer to be together. I don't sleep very well when he is away and I don't want to be tired or lonely the night before our wedding. Our parents aren't very traditional so they don't necessarily care. I want to get together with the girls and hang out, just not necessarily all night..

If you guys are staying apart, what are your reasons. Just wondering if I am missing something.

I think we're going to sleep in separate rooms the night before the wedding to make the day more special. As of right now I'm going to wait until our ceremony to see him for the 1st time. We have living with each other for 2 years so it will add some suspense and excited to that momment when our eyes 1st meet as I'm walking down the aslie.

I think I am going to stay in my mom's room the night before the wedding. I dont really know why, and nobody is pressuring me to do it, I just always thought that was part of tradition. I also think that maybe because we are so used to staying together it will make me miss it the night before and make the wedding night all the more special.

I never thought about this detail until now but I think I might like to spend the night apart to heighten the anticipation of seeing him for the first time on our special day. I'm not sure how he'll feel about being kicked out of the room for the night though...lol!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
