Staying together the night before wedding?

Recommended Posts

We stayed together the night before and ate breakfast at the resort with everyone, and then went our seperate ways for the rest of the day! It worked out perfect for us, so do what YOU want! We were so giddy the night before our wedding, I seriously couldn't imagine not having that time together!

The night before I spent hanging out with my girls b/c I needed to wrap my BD book and get my hair trimmed by my hairstylist/BM and FI went to bed early. Then I went back to our room to sleep together and wake up together...Then the next morning we each went to breaky with our friends and met up together to go swim in the ocean before I had to begin getting ready. It was wonderful to have a private moment with just the two of us. We are by no means a traditional couple and staying apart didn't really mean anything to either of us, but it totally depends on the couple.

I asked my fiance tonight and he is like um no we ARE sleeping in the same room. You will be gone most the morning getting ready anyways whats the point. It will be nice to sleep together before the big day because it will be the last part of a chapter into a new chapter :)

We won't be staying together the night before the wedding...we agreed on this. We just want to have the suspense of knowing the next time we see each other it will be when I'm walking down the aisle. We are, however, staying together the nights leading up to the wedding.

I assumed we would stay together, but Hiram decided he didn't want to jinx us. My MOH is staying with me in mine and Hiram's suite and he is staying with his best man the first two nights until after the wedding.

yeah I'm being superstitious and old fashioned here -I am actually staying with my sister for the 3 nights before the wedding...I want it be really special on our wedding night - the nights prior to the night before are to appease my very conservative parents.

Also, I like the idea of him not being able to see me on our wedding day until I walk down the aisle.

I'm kicking FI out! ha! He is going to stay with one of his brothers. He didn't like the idea at first, but the more we talked about it, the more agreeable he got about it. He asked me if we could meet in the morning on the beach. I think that is adorable and sweet, but that kinda defeats the purpose to me! I want the first time we put our eyes on each other be when I walk down to him. He then said, "we will play it and see what happens." Too funny.

At first I didn't care and figured we would just stay together the night before so I asked my fiance what he wanted to do, and to my surprise, he wants us to stay apart the night before. Our ceremony will be at 10am so we won't be apart too long. He says that he doesn't want to see me until I walk down the aisle & see me in my dress for the 1st time. I am actually excited about it right now. We are getting married in Las Vegas and our chapel provides a "First Look Service" and will be picking us up separately so we won't see each other until I walk down the aisle.

Your bm & moh can do what they want on the night before their weddings, this is your thing! It sounds like you want to be together so do it.

Plus, a DW is not traditional so who says you have to apply the standard night-before traditions, you know? Just tune people out and have it your way wink.gif
