OK now that I have opened the box im not as excited, I'm actually disappointed. I ordered the hibiscus bags and they seem to be cheap (i mean clearly the price was cheap but I expected better quality, don't ask why lol) I will keep them tho. The material just isn't one that I think ppl would wanna use to carry around on the islands, oh well. I also ordered the Raffia fans which were fine. I hate the drawstring backpacks that I got for the guys and they are going back. I also don't like the coin purses I ordered but I may keep them. The flip flop stickies were smaller than I expected and I ordered alotta candies. The hibiscus lollipops were way smaller than they looked online. Oh well I'm keeping all the candy.

This weekend my project is the DIY Travel mugs which will mean alotta paper cutting n this really weird shape.

I'm cruising Carnival so I'm sure it depends on who you're sailing with...but I talked to them yesterday and they said I could either a) ship the bags ahead of time to them (through their specified shipping company) and then pay an additional fee to have them put in rooms, or B) bring bags on board and pay $1 a cabin to have them put in rooms. With option "b" they said the bags would be in the cabins around dinner time.

I think I might just decide to give them out at dinner myself...

I got the hibisucus bags too, and I do agree that they aren't the best quality. However, I think for the price (you really can't beat it) they're cute and will at least be good for using as a "pool bag." Plus, I've read on other posts that a lot of people ended up regretting spending a lot on the nicer bags since people didn't use them anyway. So I think overall they'll be great and your guests will appreciate them! :)

My big problem now is that they are kind of big so they seem really empty. I need some large but cheap items to add!

LOL Kimber

I looked at that some more and I agree I will def keep them, there are a better quality than paper gift bags so lol. It'll work. I'd also purchased the drawstring bags for the guys and they ended up being kid sized bags so they def have to go back. I found a guy on ebay the buy the drawstring bags but they were soo much more expensive. But al least I'm sure that the guys will get alotta use out of them.

I decided to also give mine to the purser and let him distribute them. I also called the hotel where we will be staying and they stated that we can send my OOT items prior to arriving in Miami. I thought that was cool so I don't have to take all that stuff with me on the plane.. Some of you may want to call the hotel and see if they will do the same.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. OTC is great with returns. I needed to return an item that was $20 they just refunded me the $$ and told me to donate the items to charity. I plan to give them to my church's summer camp program. They were DIY canvas backpacks, that I was gonna use for the men's OOT bags. I thought they were for adults but turns out they were for kids. So hopefully the summer camp kids will have fun with them.

That is way cool!! Everything I've ordered from there has been decent.

And we're handing our bags out in the limo on the way to port. I had everything packed, then I realized I'd rather be drinking then putting bags together!!

I just ordered my bags, they should be here Sat. We decided not to spend a lot on the bags so that we can add more items to them. I ordered the reusable shopper bags. I figure maybe people will actually use them for groceries and such. I have a few and use them all the time. They cost less than $1 each. I ordered more than I need but I know I will use them as gift bags or stocking stuffer's at Christmas.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
