Any other brides for Rose Hall Resort?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

This was a long and tedious process for us. We have been debating over resorts for the last 2 months. It has actually become on ongoing joke with friends and family as to where we are going! BUT...My FI and I have finally decided on the Rose Hall Resort and Spa in Montego Bay. Lucky for us they have our date (Aug. 14, 2009) and time available.

I am wondering if there are any other brides out there who are getting married at the Rose Hall or have gotten married there and can give us some feedback.

I am so glad that I've found this forum, there is so much helpful information and great ideas!! Thanks so much!!

Hi Jaime!! I'm not yet a Rose Hall Bride because I am still trying to decide between them and the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites... My fiance' and I actually did a site visit there last week and the resort was absolutely gorgeous!!! I will agree with you in this being a tedious process because it has been very difficult to nail down location. Congrats on finally deciding, I hope to settle on a place in the next few weeks.

Thanks everyone for all the comments!

FutureMrs. welcome, congrats and thanks for the search suggestion, I have tried that but haven't come up with too much...

GregsBride, when you visited the resort what did you think were the best parts? We are considering the gazebo that is near the water for our ceremony, from the pics it looks beautiful. Which site (gazebo, beach, aqueducts) would you choose?

JnM09,

I liked both gazebos, but the one near the ocean is a bit more private so if I were choosing a gazebo that one would be my pick. But the location I fell in love with is I believe is called "Ocean's Edge". It's not to far from the ocean gazebo, and it's at the end of the golf course. Everything is set up on the lawn, and the couple and minister is at the end of the greens overlooking the ocean. It was so breathtaking!! I have a few pics of the resort, if you send me a message I can send a link to the photo gallery to you.

Christina thanks again for sending that link to your photos...I think I am having a change of heart after seeing them. Iberostar looks really nice, and I've been hearing not so good things about the costs at RHR adding up and getting really expensive. Great if you're budget can accomodate extra expenses, but mine can't! When you went on you're site visits, did either of the resorts offer you a credit or comp if you decide to book with them?

FutureMRS--what have you been hearing about the costs at RHR? I have gotten some of the pricing but not all. I think that we have decided on a cocktail reception and then going to dinner at one of the restaurants afterwards. This seemed like the best option for us....love to hear your thoughts!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
