TTD Dunn's River Falls

Recommended Posts

I am getting married at ROR and thinking about having Michael, the photographer, do a TTD at dunn's. I have seen some gorgeous pics from other brides reviews. My question is, would one hour be enough time to get some great pics? You have to book Michael by the hour. Would one hour be enough time to get from ROR to Dunn's and get good photos? I was planning on going as soon as Dunn's opens in the morning.

ROR is one of my top choices to book our upcomming August 2009wedding! I just love the idea of a TTD session and was wondering, if anyone would like to share the type of TTD package they got and/ or price if that's ok. I have no idea of what to expect as in a dollar amount for that sort of thing.

If you go to the best images (photoshop at ROR) website, they have a listing of their prices. There is no specific "TTD session" price. Everything is pretty much by the hour. The price will depend if you want the head photog or not. Hope this helps!

That is a great idea! We were actually thinking of doing the same thing, but my friend that is a good photog might be leaving before the day we planned to do the TTD. You shouldn't have any problems. As long as you pay admission and get there first thing in the morning, you should be done before people start to get in your way.

That is my hope. Thanks.

Thanks for your help! Unfortunately I"M the photo savy person in the group which doesn't help me to photgraph me! lol So, i'll be searching for something reasonable for a TTD session. That's one of the most important things for me....the photos. But, i don't want to go too crazy. 10-20 pics possibly. Thank You!

Hey ladies,

My TTD at Dunn's with Michael at ROR was the first one he had ever done. We had "saved" an hour and a half from our wedding package to devote to the TTD, but since it was his first time shooting a TTD there, he kept us there for over three hours for no extra charge. He did not seemed concerned with time at all----he was much more concerned about getting great pics.

I would say you need two hours, but it also depends on if you want pics from the bottom of the falls and the top. Almost every single Dunn's picture that I loved was from the very top of the falls (see the first two). The bottom picture was shot near the bottom of the falls, but could have been replicated higher up and saved us a lot of hiking. If you want to see more pics, check out my review. I also included an excerpt I had written in my post about Michael.

BIGGEST POSITIVE: Michael!! I had heard mixed reviews of Michael, the resort photog, and wasnâ€t expecting much to be honest, but he blew us away! He was so understanding with the rain that began at the end of the ceremony and even stopped the clock for us to see if it would clear (it didnâ€t). Luckily, the next day, we had arranged a TTD session at Dunnâ€s and it was BEAUTIFUL! We also got to take some beach pics first since our wedding day was so stormy. He did a fantastic job and was soooo nice. He said it was his first TTD at Dunnâ€s, as he had always thought it would be too crowded, but we went at 9:30 a.m. and didnâ€t see a soul until about 11 as we were finishing up (donâ€t pick a cruise ship day!). He said he was very happy with how it turned out and would perhaps start advertising.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
