What can I do?!?

Recommended Posts

My plan was to get as much done with the wedding as possible before starting my nursing program in August. With my wedding being 16 months away, i've sent out STD's, booked a hotel in florida, created a wedding website, and even put down my deposit with my wedding coordinator...

And now I'm getting...dare I say it? BORED!!!blush2.gif

What can I do that I haven't already, obviously I have to wait to do things like invites, OOT bags, etc...

Are any of you 16 months from your wedding. What should I be doing?

This summer I'm going to start trying on dresses, but I'm getting soooo impatient.. Is this normal?

Well, my wedding is in May 2010 and so far I have completed, picking out/purchasing BM dresses, buying grooms attire, bought the flowers for my mom to do my flowers and BM flowers and centerpeices, I've bought my raffia fans, bought wedding reception shoes, BD shoot shoes, found photographer for wedding and BD shoot and engagement pics, created the info brochure for Tybee Island, bought everything for my MIB invites, and reserved our date with a WC in Tybee, none of the places we are looking at does wedding packages like some of the out of the country destinations....ummmm.... I think that is it right now, I bought everything with my tax refund this year and I am currently storing everything in my old room at my mom's house...which she is so nice about. I don't want my FI to see how much I have bought....he'd freak. Our resort doesn't have 2010 prices out yet, so hope everything is available come time to do it.

I started planning before nursing school (16 month accelerated program, aghh so glad to be done!) so planning was long but I didn't have much time to plan anyway while I was in school, but during breaks I lived on these boards, BDW is amazing! I also like to look at pics and bios on Project Wedding and the knot, that way when it comes time to get invites and dresses etc you have a good idea of what you want. Other than that, try to find out the nursing books you will need and start reading! If nothing else get the Pickar Dosage Calculations book and read/do the whole thing!

you will be bored now but after a while there will be so many little items/details to do. have you written your vows...selected your cake,, programs style, programs, actual invites, welcome letters, timelines for guests, etc...there are tons of small details that can add up but you are fortunate to have so much time in which to pace yourself!

I just graduated nursing school in December. It was hard planning a wedding and having to study at the same time. My problem is I am addicted to this forum and wanted to be on here and not studying, but I got through it and you'll do the same. Best of luck in your nursing career and wedding planning.

Same story here! I graduated in Dec too, and am very glad now that I don't have to feel guilty spending all the time I want on here... did you take the NCLEX yet?

    • What color is your wedding? You can go with warm autumn-inspired colors such as burnt oranges, dark reds, burgundy, bright yellows, like fall foliage   https://printsbery.com/invitations/wedding/burgundy   What planning have you guys done?
    • We booked our wedding for April 2021 but the venue let us know at this time they are still implementing Covid measures so we should not have more than 50 guests, etc. We also made sure the contract had an "out" clause that would let us get a refund should the pandemic blow up again, or have the ability to reschedule without penalty.
    • I am having my wedding scheduled in November 2020. I am too much worried about how all the things will be managed in this pandemic situation. About everything like the guest list, preparations, my attire and all. The only thing I am relaxed is about finances. In Feb only me and my fiancé applied for the wedding loans. We have applied early because both of us are having bad credit we had a doubt that it will be approved or not. But our wedding loans with bad credit were timely approved and we have planned accordingly but now this pandemic has spoiled all our preparations. We are trying to be positive and trying to celebrate our new beginnings.
