Looking for a hotel in Cancun/RM near the airport

Recommended Posts

My dad loved Mexico so much that he is going back this Summer.

He won't leave the resort area, so proximity to cool places to visit isn't important.

A nice beach doesn't matter so much either.

He would love a hotel that had karaoke every night.

It has to be an AI.

The closer to the airport the better.

He is in a wheelchair so a place that isn't so huge would be best.

Any recommendations?

He really liked the hotel where we got married, but I don't think it would be the best for his vacation. It was an hour from the airport & that van ride was rough on him. He liked how small it was so it wasn't hard to get from his room to the buffet. But, they only had karaoke one night a week & it wasn't very good. My dad loves to sing.

Heyyy Morgan........The Moon Palace in Cancun was only like 20 minutes away from the Cancun Airport. It was All-Inclusive AND while we were there they had karoake twice outside - they had like a stage by one of the restaurants, AND my grandma was in a wheelchair the whole time we were there for my wedding, the MP totally accomadated her, they put her in the main lobby, where there was an elevator, and everything is totally handicap accessible. AND one more thing to tell you...........my dad is not a big vacation guy, he would rather spend a vacation at home in his workshop LOL but after my wedding he said it was the first vacation he'd ever been on in his life where he didn't want to go home!! It was a huge compliment to me since I had picked the place and everything, and a really cool thing for a dad to say! I think you should check it out - it might be a little pricey, but it is TOTALLY worth it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
