I want to do a photo guest book. Since no polaroid, I was going to ask someone to take photos of guests and have them write in book. Where should I set up?? Was afraid it would back up at reception, what about at cocktail hr? Also, anyone know of any good ones- been looking but haven't found anything great.

    Thanks in advance

      We used:

Welcome to the Guestbook Store! Guestbooks for Every Occasion!

There's an option to choose a style where you add pictures, or one where guests draw a picture of themselves... Our guests thought this was really fun!

We used the one where you add a picture, but we didn't have a polaroid either;-(
So, I just assigned one of our guests to take some pictures on our digital camera and make sure everyone was filling out their pages...
**ALTHOUGH, the person I assigned ended up drinking A LOT ( haha) so didn't actually fulfill the job requirements:-) So, ended up finding pictures of people from that night, printing those and pasting them in...it still looks really nice, but I recommend making sure the person you assign is... er, reliabe;-)

We just bought a bunch of crayola markers, put them in a nice container next to the guestbook on the same table as the escort cards (the pages of the book can easily be removed and added so guests can take them to wherever to fill them out...whether it's the cockatil hour or the reception) with a sign asking people to please fill out a page.

      Good luck:-)

OMG! I love the website recommended. I 'm going to also ask my sister if she still has her polaroid so pics can be taken at reception.

Thats why I was considering cocktail hr before everyone got plastered- we have a big drinking crowd- but didn't know if that would be weird- its at terrace outside where rec is at iberostar. also, didn't know if they would have enogh time and then would I have to move it in

I was going to do something like the Adesso albums (New Digital Photo Guest Books at Adesso Albums)

but then I saw this post using a whiteboard and am totally going to do that instead! http://bestdestinati....731#post475204

I plan on making a photobook out of the pictures I get and purchased 2 handheld whiteboards to do this with. We will attach a disposable camera to each whiteboard, but also give guests the option of using their table cameras along with the boards. I'm going to ask key people to help get guests to do this during the cocktail hour and reception, and have printed instructions on what to do to leave at the escort card table and each table. We're also having an informal party after the reception, so that'll be another time where I can get people to have fun with it.

We figure that the drunker people get, the funnier it'll be. (We also think we might need to make 2 books out of the photos - one g-rated, and the other to include the ones you might not want grandma to see --hehehe)

I think as long as you assign someone who won't be getting drunk until later (haha :-)) to oversee everything -- doing it during the cocktail hour is a great idea! (As long as there are tables to write on!)

As for how long people will take to fill them out... I think if they need longer, maybe just get the person you assign to the task to tell people to take their pages inside if they haven't finished them yet -- and they'll be collected then...? I think this would work :-) We had a lot of big drinkers too and somehow we managed to get all our pages back:-)

I found this code by googling...
Enter THANKS at checkout to get 10% off your entire order...
(of course, no guarantee it'll work but it had a 94% success rate!:-))
