I the am so glad that this is my second wedding, and so the father daughter dance would not have been an issue. My son is walking me down the isle, it is going to be hard enough not having my dad with me, that I am grateful I don't have to be sad about missing out on the traditional father/daughter stuff. We will be away at our wedding on the anniversary of my dads death (1 year) I kind of planned it that way, it will be my way to celebrate what my father had dreamt for me and Everton.

Actually - it's Mexico. It's very informal and it would be really easy for you to dance with your dad without calling attention to Aaron.

For instance, right after the toast, you could have a DJ invite you and your dad up for the daddy-daughter dance. Then, with about 30 seconds left to your dance, the DJ can invite everyone up to join you (many will join). The song ends, a new (fast, fun song like We Are Family) song comes on - people keep dancing and you slip away off the dance floor.

Then, you and Aaron mingle - talking to people, getting drinks for other people, etc. You don't reappear until it's time to cut the cake.

People won't even notice if the two of you are or are not dancing.

I would be really sad for your dad if he didn't get to dance with you. I would bet that he would also really love a framed picture of the two of you dancing for father's day after your wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
