Sorry to confuse you! The house wine is free and we were offered that. I really like wine but didn't care so much for the house wine. We knew that there was an additional charge for chosing one off the wine list and how much it was going to be as the prices were listed beside each wine.

We did not pay for anything else we drank last week, either at the bars or in the restaurants.

I am in almost the same situation you are. As my user name says I was a mexico beach bride but my fiance and I looked at several wedding packages for resorts in mexico and none have them really gave you much but charged you alot of money. I am really loving the Majestic and I am meeting with my travel agent Saturday to discuss. I will post the packages once I meet with her, however I did see a post on here somewhere with previous packages. I think a civil ceremony was $1500/$1750 and a non-legal symbolic ceremony was $1250. We are looking at a non-legal just because it is alot less hassel. I also like the Majestic because after your ceremony you get a cocktail hour and you can have a reservation for your entire group at the steak or seafood restaurant which saves $$$. But you can also pay extra and do a more private reception. I like all these options! smile29.gif

Hi Christina,
I am also from New York and I am planning to get married at the Majestic in February 2010....Have you gotten any rates for your guests for the resort? Did you use a travel agent from New York? I know you must be so excited because your day is getting so much closer!!! How far have you gotten with your planning with the Majestic??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
