I sent my invites out last week. They were really simple flip flop invites that I printed myself. Not too cute, that's why I didn't post a pic.

Well, one got returned yesterday. I was kind of excited because I only ended up with 1 extra...now I would have 2. So I open it, and the ink on the wording totally rubbed against the envelope and made huge black rub marks down the entire invite. It looked like total crap!!!!!! I am so sad. I'm hoping that just this one has been through the ringer with trying to find the addressee and having to be sent back to me. MAYBE not all of them turned out so crappy looking. smile27.gif

I got an invite with that issue as well. That's why they recommend putting a piece of tissue paper in your envelope between the wording and the other cards.

I'm sorry Lisa, I'm kind of worried about the same thing. I was actually just thinking about my invites sitting in their box and I'm hoping that the ink isn't rubbing on the back of each invite, I'm going to be so mad if they did!

That sucks!! I'd be so frustrated. . .now you've got me all paranoid for when I print Monica's shower invites and stuff!! ;-)

Did you find out from anyone else if theirs got smudged too? It could have just been a couple of them that weren't quite dry yet. . .

I just talked to my mom and she says hers looks perfect. I was thinking of doing the tissue, but decided against it since this is where I was cutting cost. Maybe this particular got handled too much. Let's hope!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
