problems with documents

Recommended Posts

Hi, could anyone let me know if they have experienced this. We sent all our documents off and we have had confirmation back, but they are now asking for details of my FI divorce solicitor, we sent them a copy of the divorce certificate, I can't understand why they need this. Could anyone help please.

Neither one of us are divorced, but we were asked by the document specialist. I was told that they need to put this on the paperwork that they turn into the Jamaican government.

Is what you sent to them the original divorce certifcate or a copy? It must be the original or a certified copy. If you sent a copy maybe they wanted to speak to your FI's counsel to verify it. That is really the only reason I can think of as to why they would need that information.

Hi Sunstarsmoon. I have found out exactly what they wanted after talking to my travel agent. It was the solicitor's that certified our documents here before sending them off, they just wanted a bussiness card with his details on.
