I’m new to this forum but this will be year #4 for hubby and I. I miss wedding planning something terrible! I had so much fun with it.

We’ve bought our house about 6 months after the wedding. Then I was TTC crazy we got preggo around the same time. We had our daughter…after 3 boys she HAD BETTER been a girl. *LOL*

We’re just settling into our everyday marriage routine at this point. My good friend is getting married June of 2010 and I’m one of her MOH so I’m happy to be back to planning something bridal. Since we married in Vegas and not many people could come we are planning a renewal here at home in 2012. My hubby wants another son but geez we have 4 kidz I’m more than happy with that! Plus, I’ll be 40 next year, I’m ready to be done having babies.

Katrina~ how was your cruise?

Nothing much new with me. Still house hunting. I'm starting to get really frustrated with it. When I do find something we like its already under contract and we've missed it by like a week. So annoying. And, I can't get people to STOP telling dh that we should offer 40,000 under asking because if we make an offer that is accepted we will always feel like we could've gotten the house for less. I will NOT feel like that. I WANT them to accept our offer because I actually WANT to live in the freakin house. UGH. I think this is a terrible strategy and I plan on changing our game plan on the next one.

The good news (slightly good) is that we've found a house that has been foreclosed on in our ideal neighborhood. It is not yet listed on the market. I called the agent who will be listing it and he said he will give me a call BEFORE it gets listed publicly to let me know how much it will be so we can be the first offer in on it if it ends up in our price range. The appraisal is getting done by the bank this week and it should be listed by next week.

So, keep your fingers crossed for me that this one might work out.

Oh, I almost totally forgot that I am doing something exciting. I'm taking 4 college summer courses that start on Monday. Yup, FOUR. I'm hoping I haven't bitten off more than I can chew. But I'm excited to get 4 classes completed in such a short period of time. :)

I haven't been on the forum long or overly active on it but am now married! I didn't have an overly fancy wedding or tons of detail put in to it but I so miss the whole process. I wouldn't change a thing about it but sometimes wish I could do it over again knowing what I know now :) I do have tons of post wedding things to clear up like photobooks, thank yous and finally reorganizing my spare bedroom that was used for weddging stuff. But I am still finding it really hard to get my mind back on track. I thought, ok after the wedding I'll be able to focus because I won't have the wedding to think about, but now it is hard coming back to reality. I am glad I found this thread :)

Good luck Kelly! I hope you get this house. I know that has been a big point of frustration for you both.

I always loved summer classes. It seemed like I needed the fast pace and the extra push to do well.

Thanks girls! So far I have had three days of classes. They aren't difficult yet, but there is alot of homework. There almost aren't enough hours in the day to get it all done. I like the fast pace of the summer classes too. Last summer I took one and it was an easy A for me. I'm hoping these turn out to be the same.

It looks like it will be another week before we hear anything on the asking price of the house. The wait is killing me. If I wasn't so busy with school I would just daydream about living in that house all day long! lol

Hi Girls! So, we heard this morning about the foreclosure we've been waiting on and it IS in our price range! Yay! smile29.gif I'm working on getting our offer in today. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

I danced around the house like the bunny when I got the call! lol bunny_4.gifbunny_4.gifbunny_4.gifbunny_4.gif

I'm finally in this club! Woo hoo!

Kelly, my fingers are crossed for you, that's so exciting!

I can honestly say that I am so over wedding planning and have done absolutely nothing since we've gotten home for our AHR this Saturday. It'll all come together. Part of me wishes I had a little more planning time for it, but I know I'll be happy in the end that we did it right away.

Since I was like the last-standing virgin bride, none of my friends want to hear about the wedding. They just say, so how was the sex? Hey, maybe when people start with the baby questions (we don't want kids), I'll just tell them that I'm still learning. I absolutely hate how nosy people are with that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
