It's been nearly a year and I think I am finally getting over my wedding obsession. I do still gaze wistfully at the bridal magazines in the grocery store checkout lines, though. I also love seeing all of the planning threads and reading reviews, and looking at PICTURES of course! However, I can make it thought the day without day dreaming about bouquets and favors.

My DH and I bought a house in September and are finally getting around to unpacking and remodeling and all of that fun stuff. We also bought a new dog to grow our family. We aren't quite ready for real babies yet! LOL

What about the other married ladies? What is new with you post wedding?

I had a different experience. after my wedding I was burnt out on all things bridal. I only stick around here to see what my BDW friends are up to & I hardly check in on the planning threads. I did enjoy the wedding planning, but I am so relieved it is done.

I've become totally obsessed with photography since the wedding so that fills my time that was spent on wedding planning.

i'm kinda with morgan. i enjoyed planning so much that i agonized over my hubby's surprise 30th bday and then a friend's baby shower at my house. i'm now done planning for awhile. i'm in grad school, and so is dh, as of next monday. our lives are relatively boring and uneventful, for which i'm pretty glad.

i read a lot of threads but don't have much time to post, esp. in the planning threads...i try to stick to the pv stuff.

Ok, you ladies will most likely laugh and think I'm an idiot but I am married. Actually married since 10/272001. I'm only 30. I'm not a long time member. So you are asking yourself why am i here. Well my girlfriend Shannon and her sister are dw brides. They got me hooked. Also i am doing lots of planning for Shannon's wedding. Maybe her sister's who is 3 months after Shannons. And then I have 3 other girlfriends getting married in the next 2 years. Si i will be very busy. I also am trying to become a vendor on this website. But I won't discuss it cause I know I'm a good girl I'm not allowed. But anyway I was happy to see some married ladies on here. I'm also addicted to facebook but it's nice to talk to new people. Also people with the same interests. All facebook is reminiscing about times I would like to forget. You know the big hair, braces, and goofy prom gowns. Well just wanted to say hi and look forward to meeting new friends which is good for a stay at home mom.

i'm torn between being glad the wedding is over, and wishing i was planning another one. what i miss most is the creativeness it allowed and all of the DIY projects that I labored over... i miss those.

DH and I are now starting our long awaited DIY projects on the house. Not really the same but something to keep us busy!

Oh and I can't wait to start researching our next vacation... which is not until next summer but when it gets closer I can't wait to start doing all my homework!

I still look at the bridal mags while I'm waiting in line at the grocery store, and I still get excited when I see someone is getting married at the Moon Palace......But we just bought a new house also and so I am channeling all my wedding addiction stuff into that. I was MIA for awhile from BDW b/c I think I didn't really know what to do with myself after the wedding! It was like all I did was talk on here about what I was doing and how excited I was and then after I posted my pics and review I was like....ok now what?? But luckily I found my way back and have been on here tons lately LOL!! And I feel so lucky to have made so many friends on here too!

I would totally plan everyone's wedding if I could - I liked it and didn't really get burnt out. Planning for this baby in my belly though? Can someone do it all for me? It was easy for me to make a decision about wedding stuff because DH and I were the only ones who would really be affected. Baby decisions thoughhuh.gif UGH!!! I'm convinced I'm going to pick the wrong everything and the kid will be a mess.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
