For all you June brides....

Recommended Posts

I know i am a little ahead of the game but would like to get an idea of what time i should do. I am getting married at Dreams Los Cabos next June '08 and was thinking of starting the ceremony at 6:00 pm. But i think that would be to late b/c by the time people will eat( ceremony, pictures etc.), it will be 8:00 already..I am getting married on the beach so i really don't want the sand to be too hot for people to walk on it...

What time are you going to start your ceremony?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Brandy,

Just curious what day are you getting married? I was suggested to have it around 5pm/6pm. It might be around 7:00 or 8:00 but your on vacation and unless your guests are not okay with eating that late I dont see it being a problem.

we are starting our ceremony at 6pm. But it does make the evening feel short...

both my coordinators (maye cortinas and emeline from the hilton) suggested 6pm

a quick rundown of our timetable:

5:45pm - guests seated

6 - 6:30 ceremony

6:30 - 7:30 cocktail hour/ time for pics

7:30 - 8:30 dinner

8:15 toasts

Jessica- I am getting married on June 21st....the weekend after your wedding. What time are you looking at? Are you getting married on the beach?

Kashmira- Maye also recommends that i get married between 5 or 6 b/c it wouldn't be as hot then.

We are getting married at 5pm on the beach. The music has to stop at 11pm at Dreams so we want to have enough time for our party!

5pm Ceremony

5:30-6:30pm Cocktail hour

6:30pm-8pm Dinner

8pm-11pm Dancing & Party

I leave on May 29! So crazy how fast it is coming up!!

I'll be in Cabo May 29 - June 5 .... I'm leaving at 5:50pm on the day of your wedding so I won't be able to crash!! Sad! If you need to borrow anything, we could meet up on June 4? When do you go? Are you all ready?

We are honeymooning later in June (we have to come back right after our wedding for FI to finish school - he's a teacher) - but the good thing is that I can get my review posted for everyone right away!

My wedding is June 23rd and my ceremony is scheduled for 6:30. My thinking is that I really don't want it to be blistering hot. We're going to do some pics before the ceremony as well as some during the cocktail hour. The sun sets about 8pm, so I figured this leaves an hour for pics before the sun sets.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
