I love "rainbow connection" by Kermit. My FI cousin has already claimed it bc her dad painted a huge rainbow on her bedroom wall when she was little - but I would totally steal it if I could.

I am a dance teacher and last year we did a Father/Daughter dance in a group to "We go together" from the soundtrack of Grease. It is fun and upbeat! You could do the handjive together and twirls! You might need to cut the lyrics so that it applies to a father/daughter, but you get the idea! It is a pretty long song.

Oh! we also did "together again" from the musical Annie. It is the one where Annie and Daddy Wharbucks dance at the end...cute too.

My dad and I are dancing to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw. I love Tim and I love this song...but not what you are looking for!

OK, I love the "I Loved Her First" song, however I think I'm going to let my dad choose and have it be a surprise for me. I think that'd be fun. Either he'll pick a tear jerker, or he'll be creative and pick a fun song that reminds me of my childhood. Either way, I think that'd be nice.

I used to absolutely HATE country music, but last summer FI and I got really into a lot of the newer country and now its almost all we listen too! A lot of the newer artists and songs are really good and fun, but there are a lot of tear jerkers too!

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to use for my father daughter dance...I want something fun to dance to and slow and sad. I'm thinking a fun latin song or some oldy that my dad likes to dance to. :)

You know what.. Harry Connick Jr. did a fantastic remake of that song on his album 'Songs I heard'!!

That's not a bad idea.. We've got enough to worry about .. maybe I'll have dad throw his 2 cents in.

But I do love the Daddy Warbucks idea from Annie.. very cute!
                    Thanks for all the suggestions!
