I like a couple of you, am also dancing with my "step"dad (it's weird to even call him that cause he's the only dad I've ever known). I love Brad Paisely's song He didn't have to be, the lyrics are so beautiful for anyone in this same position! Let me know what you think!

I don't think we are going to have an "official" father daughter dance- having people watch me dance for even one song is more than I can handle! But I will make a point to dance with my dad during "Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewart. He is a huge Rod Stewart fan, and I was when I was a little girl, and he loved that.

My fiance danced with his daughter to Paul Simon's "Father and Daughter" at her wedding. Not easy to dance to, however. It was funny how they choreographed the whole thing, but at that special moment just got caught up in the emotions and lost all the planning. It was beautiful, though.

I just gave my dad a CD with 10 or so songs on it to listen to and choose the one he wanted. He picked "I loved her first" by Heartland. Now if I can just listen to it enough times... perhaps I won't cry my head off while dancing with him at my wedding :-)
