Tammy i know your question is meant for brides but I thought I'd chime in so you have a vendors perspective too.

I offer coffee table books/albums from two different companies.

The thinner coffee table books range from $375-$675

The thicker coffee table books range start at $1795 and can exceed $3000 depending on size and number of pages.

However, all my packages already include an album of some sort so there isn't an need to figure in these costs unless you want a second copy or other options like parent albums and bridesmaid books.

Albums/books are definitely something to consider when booking your photographer. Sometimes you may have to shell out another $1000+ for the album.

exactly, sometimes you might have to shell out more money for an album than you do for the photography. just more reason to really compare packages from photographers you are interested in.

This is why I offer cheaper albums as well as more expensive ones so I can accommodate everyone.

Hmm I should see if my photographer offers cheaper albums. I think I could create one myself for a good price but after looking at the few professional ones on here, without question they are much nicer.. IMO, and it really brings out the photographers style, which is why he was hired in the first place.

Tammy I am also using Juan and I decided to get the coffee table book. It is costing me $2,200 extra just for the book which is a lot of money but I really want it. I didn't think I was going to get it but I figured this is the nice thing I will have from my wedding. I will buy a cheaper dress or something to even it out. I love pics and my FI and I really wanted to have this.

Ann, I think our mothers must be related! You totally just described my wonderful mother. Ride a horse, shovel shit, fix a broken water line, even make a wreath - but hair and makeup - fuggitaboutit!!! She will still be there with me - I'll just give her a glass of champagne to keep her busy :)

Hahaha! I know, I love my mother through & through. And she is definitely not immune to a Dos Equis or boxed wine. She will drink champagne before the wedding because that's what I"ll give her! I like to think that I've adopted her handiness, toughness & practicality and added my own twist of femininity to the mix.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
