On my way out to my first dress shopping experience

Recommended Posts

I have to say, Im a tad bit excited. But not excited to squeeze into this little to small strapless bra I have from last year. (Ive gained a bit of weight) Its those ones that are corset like, but snap in the back. Are from your boobs down to your waist. I guess thats motivation eh? LOL

Ill be back with a full review. We are hitting up 3 bridal salons :)

I had sooo much fun!!!! And am pretty sure I found the one, at the most wonderful bridal salon ever :)

We went to 4 different places. The first one they were pretty pushy and I feel in love with a Maggie dress. The second place we went they treated me like a princess, literally. And I put on a Jasmine greek goddess like dress, and it fit me like a glove, and covered all the right places. I looked beautiful. In my budget to! And the consulatant kept talking about this one similar to it but couldnt find it. So I asked if she could look one more time, and she found it. She brought it over to me and I looked at it and said, its okay, but Ill try it on still. I dont think Ill like it better than this one though....and I tried it on, came out of the dressing room and my friends mouth dropped. I than stepped up on the step thingy, and something happened I didnt think would. Tears. I got emotional! Than my friend started to cry to. I said I LOVE this dress!!!!! Of course its double my orginal budget, but at the maximum I am willing to spend.

We went to two more salons after that. The one they gave us a dressing room and never came back, which annoyed me. But I did find a dress in there that is second best. But its discontinued. So Id have to make a quick move. But it is 50% off which is my maxiumum spending limit.

The last place I found another dress that is third, but as I look at the pictures Im not really feeling it anymore. We didnt have any help from anyone in this salon either. This place had the best prices though. I did find a $300 dress that I really liked, but I think it was the price talking to me.

We got pictures from the last two places since we were pretty much on our own. Shall I share even though some were a definte no? I know how everyone loves pics :)

This sort of mermaid style dress I LOVED the 50's feel to it. But my body is so not made for this style!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
