Recessional Song?

Recommended Posts

I want a fast, fun, love song to play during recessional...I originally wanted "Beautiful Day" by U2 but, a friend of ours that got married 2 weeks ago (in Playa) had this as hers....don't want to copy her. She had "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and we are too...that one is not negotiable.

Ideas?

I just posted this on another thread...let me cut and paste....

Okay, here's the part about the recessional....

We going to go with "I'm a Believer" by Smashmouth (from the Shrek soundtrack) as a recessional. It's a fun, upbeat song, and also has significance for us because one of my nicknames forl Matt is "Shrek" (I think he sorta looks like him....and I mean this in the most loving way possible....I happen to think Shrek is really cute with his bald head and little ears...just like Matt!) What do you think? See siggy pic below?

Martha, I am getting married in a church so I am using classical music for my processional however we wanted to celebrate our original island location with the somewhere over the rainbow, but I think using it as a processional would be great!

hmm we also thought about using God Bless the Broken Road as a processional.

What about hiring a trio or mariachi band and just have them play for both?

I've posted this elsewhere, but ours is "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service, but I also like "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO and "Big Blue Sun" by Adrian Belew (both cute and upbeat). Maybe Modest Mouse "I Will Follow You" might be cute, too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
