My Experience with [photog named removed]

wow, let me tell ya, i NEVER thought that i'd ever have to deal with drama from a vendor ... i expect drama and stress to come from family and friends, but NOT from anyone i'm PAYING to provide me a service! you were right to get out. sorry you had to take such a loss financially, but it was definitely worth it for your sanity! it really is a shame because [photographer name removed] is a wonderful, creative photographer.

and morgan, you saved the day! it's people like you who make the stresses of destination wedding planning much more bearable.

So I'll be brief to sum things up:

Heather -- high 5 girl! You did the right thing, it sucks you lost the deposit, but a worryfree experience is probably more than worth it rolleyes.gif

Morgan -- you're the freaking bomb! punk.gif So amazingly kind and like all the girls say, lots of good karma is headed your way. hug2.gif

* It's threads like this that probably provide the greatest source of help to other brides ~ honest criticism and reviews are like gold in the planning process because it's already hard enough hosting a wedding thousands of miles away, having no idea what to expect.

That's why I LOVE BDW!!!! smile03.gif

Hi everyone,

Just an FYI that [photographer name removed] has emailed me asking me to have this post removed or else I'm going to hear from her legal representation. So I've sent a note to TammyHost to ask her to delete the thread. I wanted to provide an honest review to other B2B's but I don't want to get involved in a messy legal situation. Hope you all understand.

in no way has there been ANY slander against [photographer name removed] work and everyone on this thread who commented ABOUT [photographer name removed] work has only had good things to say about [photographer name removed] pictures. there was no slander or libel involved in the posting of your totally and completely honest review of the situation you were put in heather.

if [photographer name removed] has a problem with reading peoples comments about her personality and how she handles herself professionally, then maybe she needs to take a good long look in her mental mirror and figure out how to take amazing compliments about her work mixed with honest reviews about her professionalism.

heather, there is nothing legal she can do. you are allowed to freely say how you feel about something that happened to you, and it is a matter of your opinion. if this review stops another DW bride who reads this from hiring [photographer name removed] , then maybe that should be a point to [photographer name removed] to re-align her professional manner with what DW brides are looking for in a photog.

stfu.gif Incredible.....isn't there such a thing called freedom of speech? Since when have vendors become so paranoid and sensitive that they can't accept honest criticism? Crazy how they want you to give them recommendations for them to post, but God forbid they get a not-so-positive critique and they become all litigous.

Hmmm...if that's the case, shouldn't all those people who leave their opinions on tripadvisor be getting sued too??

RIDICULOUS!!!!

This is sooo unbelievable. Perhaps her legal counsel needs a good talking to if they've been advising her that she has some action. Abbie is sooo right.. this is not slander but a perfectly honest review of personal experiences.. it's not like you are reporting hearsay.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
