There is still plenty of time to get a passport. My FI got one in 3 days when he had a impromptu business trip to Mexico. You have to appear in person at a passport agency, of which there are only a few in the US -BUT- if you don't happen to live by one, there's about 100 companies that do it for you for about a $200 fee. That's a small price to pay if they really wanted to come. However, it sounds like people are feeding you a ton of excuses instead of just being honest. I'm sorry you have to go through all this!

I know its really hard not to stress and freak out about these issues. But really try and relax. It's a real rush at this point for passports for your wedding. If they don't have them submitted tomorrow you need to count them out! Cancel their tickets whatever!

Have you already booked this WC for $2500? There are quite a few in the RM who may be able to help you and work w/ your budget or just be there for day of coordination for at least half that price.

This wedding is about you and FI. Consider those who could come meeting you like a few of the girls said. Be happy that you have 10 people coming and enjoy your time in Mexico.

I think the biggest thing is to not let this ruin relationships. Let it go, I know thats hard, but its quite the weight of your shoulders to brush it off. Definitely don't hold it against FI dad w/ hip replacement. I think at his age if he needs it, then he needs to do it now and not wait, sorry. At least he has a good reason, and not irresponsibility.

Take a few minutes to breath and talk w/ FI about what you think is best and then talk to the 10 that have planned.

Thank you so much everybody for your words. This helps ! FI called me during the day and he was all the contrary of stressed - he's so zen. So relaxed. That helps a lot I'm gonna focus on the fact that I want to marry him (again ) on this beautiful beach, in my beautiful dress, with the people that will want to be there for us. I'm gonna think positive and it will make me positive : this is gonna be an awesome wedding ! Those who won't be there will regret it ! :)

Not on you guys. You can be worried about them getting their passports.

try to look at the big picture you and your fi having a beautiful ceremony in a gorgeous place.
My thoughts exactly! Think how cool it will be to have an intimate ceremony with the special people who make it. I had people who could have made it but bailed out and I had a few people literally on monthly payment plans pinching pennies to make it because they wouldn't have missed it for the world. In the end the right people will show and you won't regret marrying him again :)
