were getting married april 14 2012 at the GPLH...i decided on the Blue Lagoon for our reception, I was told in order to do the beach reception (which is what i originally wanted) it would be off the buffet menu in which case there was a min number of people you needed to have there. What ive done is e-mailed my W/C manager and requested pics of the Blue Lagoon..once i get something back ill let you know.

What date are you getting married? what package did u go with? it would be great to share some ideas around

Hello Canadiangirl,

Here is a picture of Blue Lagoon

I chose BL.  I think you will be happy with the space...

I chose the dendrobian renewal package. We'll have a civil ceremonly before we leave... It will save us about $800.  We'll probably upgrade our flowers.  The florist the hotel uses is Tai Flora.  I've been reading that it's probably best to go directly through them and mention the credit you get with your package rather than upgrading through the hotel because they try to charge a little bit more than the florist would directly.  I may do a few things DIY if I have the time...

I will have to confirm this, but have been stanning (lurking) in this site and palladium addict for about a month trying to get ideas, and based on what I've read you get a credit for the flowers that are included in your package, and you can upgrade directly through the florist the hotel uses:

http://www.taiflora.com/ .

I'll try to find the threads I found useful and post them here...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
