Hello Everyone. This looks like a great forum. My Fiance, (Todd) and I, (Allison) are getting married on August 15, 2009. We had plans to do a beach wedding on Moonstone Beach in Cambria. As the plans developed we started to exceed 80 people and the bill was getting huge. We are both independent people and do not expect any financial help with this event. With the economy issues we no longer feel comfortable spending so much on our wedding with my job stability lessening and him owning a retail store. We have had to tighten up our budgets a little.

 

We have decided to stick with a beach wedding and just keep it to about 30 people (immediate family and a few friends). We both love hiking and scenic natural areas. He is an avid photographer and we both want a semi private natural appearance to the beach for our wedding. Since we are now changing plans and going small, we are trying to locate a naturally scenic semi-private beach. We have plans to drive the coast a couple times over the next couple weeks and that is why we have found this forum. I will be posting in the So Cal and Nor Cal forums in hopes of finding the recommendations for beach location and nearby restaurants that welcome large parties.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
