I'm like you and super scared of becoming pregnant (now is just not the time in my or DH's life for kids) so I take bcps and we use protection too lol that's how bad we don't want to be pregnant. I just want to reassure you that you are probably NOT pregnant, however, if you are as worried as you sound (*hugs* poor girl!), I think you should take a pregnancy test just in case.

Like I said, I don't think you are pregnant, but if you are....what do you plan to do? (Hope you don't mind my asking, if not, please just ignore this question) I'm just wondering. Stay strong, I'm sure you're just fine! smile03.gif
We use double protection as well.

If for some reason I am preggos...I will cry...ALOT! haha! If I am preggo then I guess that it is my time (even though I REALLY don't think it is).

Thanks for everyone's words...it is helping calm me down wink.gif

Is there something in your life...besides wedding and being preggo? How's work and what not? When I was pregnant at 16 we didn't know for 6 months. We went to the doctors the first 5 months for blood/urine tests and the doctors were telling me that the stress can throw your period out of wack. If it is something that you are totally stressing about I would take the test and get it over with.

Definitely take the test to ease your mind...the stress of not knowing and wondering will not help your body in adjusting to the new pill...I'm sure it's just the adjustments and the stress that's making your body freak out a little.

Wow, that's stressful... which of course will also cause your period to be late. I would just go buy a test and ease your mind. I'm sure you are not pregnant and that you are just adjusting to the pill, but seeing that negative will certainly make you feel better. Good luck.

I am sure it is a side effect. That happened to me when I switched from Ortho tri-cyclen to the Yaz pill. I was all screwed up. I went and got a pregnancy test from the drug store in a bad area of town where no one would notice me, haha! It of course came out negative. Hang in there, and I would get a test ASAP that way you can breathe a sigh of relief if it is negative! =)

I just read this thread and I'm dying to know- I can just imagine how you're feeling! I would say just take a test to be sure- you stressing about it is not gunna help because stress can cause a late or missed period altogether. I know it can be scary, but just try to get thru it without thinking about it!?!? easier said than done, right?

good luck!!

I'm totally in a similar situation! I went off bc around Christmas because it was really starting to do weird things to me (I've been on the same one for 9 years), and since I stopped taking the bc, I haven't gotten my period yet. I'm totally paranoid but I took a preg test and even had my doc do one and it came back negative. You have to take the test to ease your mind but it probably is just a result of the side effects...I'm hoping that's what mine is! But it still worries me...it's been almost 3 months, what the heck is going on?! Our bodies do weird things sometimes so I wouldn't freak out yet wink.gif

We have all been in "similar" circumstances, I would just take a test if I were you. Not becuase I think you are pregnant but because I have been there and you will drive yourself C-R-A-Z-Y till you do! Even if you are everything will be fine, life will continue, you won't be that far along at your wedding so you should be able to work around it.

Take the test, you'll sleep better. On another note... I have had an IUD for the last 5 years and its the best thing I have ever done! I never have a period, I never have to remember to take a pill, I never have period side-effects! I highly recommend it to anyone that has thought about it!

Good luck and let us know what happens!

I agree with everyone who says that it's probably not a baby, but pee on a stick anyway!

Oddly enough, because you're stressing about not really getting your period, it will screw up you getting your period. Best thing to do is get the test and check it out so you don't have to worry.

Let us know how it goes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
