Possible wedding at the Riu Palace.....what do you think?

My fiance proposed to me in Cabo San Lucas and now we are thinking about gettting married there. We fell in love with Cabo when we went for one day (on a cruise ship). I have been doing lots of searching for places to have a ceremony and reception. I really like what the Riu has to offer and with the economy the way it is, we do not want to spend 10k for our wedding. Any advise?

Welcome! Cabo is a great location - lots of brides choose Cabo for the great weather and beautiful resorts. Most brides in Cabo choose either the Riu or Dreams if they are doing all inclusives - you'll find tons of info on both here! Congrats on your engagement!

Welcome to the forum!

There is a great budget thread (just type it in on the search bar at the top) and go through that looking at other Cabo weddings. That should help you feel at ease about your budget.

Thank you all for the warming welcome!! I have heard that Dreams and Riu are pretty popular. I really enjoy Riu's location and if guests want to head into Cabo for a day it's a little cheaper to catch a taxi at the Riu. Thanks again for everything and if your have any more comments, please keep them coming

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
